One Day Old

There has been a steady line-up all day of brothers waiting to hold Danica.  I think it was noon before Grandma could even get her hands on her!  Danica spent about an hour awake, staring into the face of whoever was holding her.

Is it possible to be just over 24 hours old and already have been kissed thousands of times?  I think it has happened.

She has given us lots of these smiles.  I never have bought the “it’s just gas” theory.  I say… she’s a very happy little girl!

As expected, Danica was awake a lot last night after spending her first day mostly asleep.  I’m going to try to keep her awake more this afternoon to change her over to a diurnal life.  What else can I tell you about her?  So far, she seems like a very contented little gal.  She hasn’t gotten too fussed about anything yet.  Oh… and she was born in the cull/amniotic sac.  Apparently, this is a very lucky thing!
