O-Scary

Since Obama showed up on the scene I’ve found it more than a little alarming to watch the masses trip over themselves to sing the praises of Obama. I admit I don’t know a lot about Obama’s policies, but I know enough to see several things that I think are a little frightening.  For now I’ll just share  The Knock on the Door on American Thinker about Obama’s top-down “grass roots” Movement.  Does it make you think of anything?  Like the only thing we learn from history is that we don’t learn anything from history?  Honestly, it makes me wonder if at some point, some pledge-takers will be assigned the duty of looking for blog posts like this one and reporting and monitoring the dissidents.

You can download your own Obama Salute images here.obama-hands-tn “Bring your hands together over your head to make a large ‘O’ to join a new pro-Barack Obama movement.

Obama’s creative agency is already obviously very loyal (and probably very well paid).

“Our goal is to see a crowd of 75,000 people at Obama’s nomination speech holding their hands above their heads, fingers laced together in support of a new direction for this country, a renewed hope, and acceptance of responsibility for our future,” says Rick Husong, owner of The Loyalty Inc. Husong tells me that he got the idea after seeing the famous Obama-Progress poster by artist Shepherd Fairey. “We wanted to get involved some way,” he says. So, the agency came up with their own a symbol of hope and progress that also plays off Obama’s name. “We thought, ‘Let’s try and start a movement where even while walking down the street, people would hold up the O and you would know that they were for Obama,’ ” says Husong.

You might enjoy reading “The Wave” by Morton Rhue with your guys, especially if you are going to listen to Bonhoeffer…

Yes, I’ve thought about some of the same things. Between him and Oprah’s new movements, I’m a little frightened myself… the word “antichrist” is ringing in my ear, but I think it’s a little too strong of a word at this point. Anyway, re: your other post, I’m now in the mood for a big salad. Mmmm. I think you’re sending your snow our way this weekend though…

I agree kiddo—-the moment guys on msnbc critizied his major bailout of people who got the world into this problem in the first place, lots of media and celebrities were all over them castigating them in public. Seems as if you are not supposed to disagree with mr Obama on anything—-what happened to free speech?????? It will be interesting to see how it all plays out—his platform of “transparency” is not working out very well either–not that canadian politics is any better!!!!!! shoot the,m all I say!!!!!!!!! Why don’t they name me queen of the world and get it over with???????>? what a nightmare that would be—–bob and Vic having a great time with great weather too—-love to all—ma

Here I just read an American bloggerettes thoughts on Obama:

Obama mocks the special Olympics (about amoungst other things, President Obamas appearance on Jay Leno)

You have probably heard about this, but not having access to Mr. Leno nor mainstream anything American, I have not. I do find it shameful behaviour and immediately thought of your post here while I was reading Elizabeth’s thoughts on it.

Sorry, but something has attracted me back to your blog *again* (smile).

Here in Germany, there are some wierd things happening concerning Mr. Obama.

You can read about it here (it is in English):

German Fried Chicken: Tender, Juicy Obama Fingers Hit the Shelves

If you ask me, it is an obamanation… (is that not an Englisch word? abomination?

Another shock: Instead of “bless you” or “gesundheit” (when someone sneezes), is it true that people are saying “barak-you”?

    I read it here.

If this is actually true, then that is really O-scary.

I read this article today all the way from Russia via Australia: American Capitalism Gone with a Wimper

Love to read you thoughts, Angie!
