Freezer Paper T-shirts

We did some more freezer paper stenciling.  The big boys picked out fairly detailed artwork and I spent a lot of time tracing and cutting with the craft knife!  The results were worth it, though.  Gabe’s dragon didn’t turn out with sharp edges like the others because we didn’t have the right type of fabric paint in black.  I made a special trip to the craft store and they were out of black there too!  He decided to try the “tee juice” I picked up instead, and it did bleed a little under the stencils.  Zach pointed out that black dragons can cast darkness spells and Gabe’s dragon kind of looks like it’s casting a darkness spell around itself.  I like the spots he added free-hand to his dragon.

The pink shirt is a well-worn favourite of mine, but it has acquired to dark brown stains right in the middle of the front.  Well, now it sports a brown scorpion over the stains!  Voila! It’s like having a new shirt….. with a not-so-well placed scorpion.  But the stains are covered!
