The Beautiful Game

The big boys have a game called The Beautiful Game. This game does not make my house look very beautiful. This game requires setting animal toys up in every part of the house. There is a large crocodile in the small space on the floor that gives me access to the washer and dryer. There is a barn and barnyard animals under my feet at the computer desk. A blue felt board is in the middle of the floor – water. The stairs, the kitchen, under the table, everwhere. I asked this morning why it is called the beautiful game. It is because the animals don’t kill each other. They all live in harmony, as they did before sin entered the world and as they will after Jesus Christ’s return.

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6

That’s so cute. And cheers to you for putting up with toys everywhere! Hey, as long as they’re happy, right?
